If this isn’t your first time visiting, you may notice that there have been some changes around here. In part, that’s because the site has been rebuilt with jekyll.

The last iteration of the site was sort of a potpourri of tech:

• The site itself was built with rails.
• Blog posts were written with ckeditor via a custom admin panel.
• Photo galleries were generated with thumbsup

While it gave me a neat little playground to experiment with different rails features, it was ultimately overkill for what amounted to a rarely-updated blog. I ended up spending more time fussing over infrastructure rather than content.
